Yes you can! These are the reasons I say so. I know it is not what I am destined to be doing, but I'm still ok. I will make sure I work harder at this job so I can be the best I can be at what I do. I know it is not meant for me to be doing it forever, and I say to myself that the day I leave will be the day I pursue my dream job, the one I have been waiting for all my life.
Hey! Right now it pays the bills, so why leave. It also beats staying home watching TV, or doing other things that causes me to waste time.
I have been given the pleasure of meeting so may new people in my life. Had I not been at this job or any of my past jobs, I would never have met so many talented, interesting, and wonderful folks. Besides, I play a very important role in this piece of the puzzle; In this job. What I do helps others at what they do! While working at my job I may not want to do sometimes, I may complain, or I may even want to quit, but it makes me stay, and while there I sometimes day dream about what I will eventually be doing very soon.
Each day I work I gain more knowledge and more experience. We all need this in life to make it to the next phase. This job makes me help others, and it is the one I am supposed to be doing at this moment, that is: Until...I am instructed to leave.
Wow!. I told you! If those are not good enough reasons to stay at a job you feel you should not be at (just for a little while anyway) then.....
No! Don't quit! That is the last thing you want to do. Remember winners don't quit, and quitters don't win.
Remember Your happy job is coming. While you have those slow moments at the job you really don't want to do; Think about what you love to do and begin putting together a plan to get it started. Eventually you will get paid to do something you love. Just be patient.
